Christy Hawkins is the middle school teacher at CCS (grades 6, 7, and 8). She has a B.A. degree in Middle Childhood and Early Adolescence in Education and Mathematics. She attended UW-Stevens Point and Edgewood College. She has taught regular education for ten years and children with special needs for ten years. Christy has taught at CCS from its first year, as the upper level literature teacher, to her current position as the middle school teacher since 2010. Christy’s desire for her students is to build life-long learners that know God and develop a biblical worldview so they can be discerning young adults in our ever changing world.
Christy is a mother and step-mother of five children and grandmother of two boys. Her youngest has attended CCS since its beginning and plans to graduate from CCS. She and her husband, Jason Putman, are members of One Life Assembly in Baraboo.
Christy enjoys cooking, walking her dog, bargain shopping, and traveling to historical places in the US. She also enjoys writing and developing curriculum.
