“Put Your Teacher in Jail” – April 11th to April 19th

The 8th grade class heading to the Creation Museum in Kentucky in May. To help defer the cost of this trip, the class is hosting a fundraiser. “Put Your Teacher in Jail” challenge begins Wednesday, April 11th. See enclosed flyer for details.

Choice Program Open Enrollment Closes on April 20

Please remind friends and family that open enrollment for the 2018-19 Wisconsin Parental Choice (aka voucher) Program ends on Friday, April 20 at 4pm. The program allows students whose families meet income qualifications the ability to attend CCS, tuition-free. Re-enrollment Reminder for 2018-19

Family registration fees ($100 per family) and online re-enrollment are due Friday, April 20th in order to guarantee your students’ seats next year. If you have questions regarding re-enrollment, please contact the school office.

Kindergarten Field Trip – April 13th

Mrs. Hilario’s class will be taking a trip to Leatherberry Acres this Friday, April 13th. Reminder: students will need a sack lunch and beverage; uniform bottoms and royal blue polo top with school logo.

30-Hour Famine – April 13th – 14th

Mrs. Hawkins’ middle school students will be participating in a 30-Hour Famine at the school beginning at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 13th and ending around 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14th. As part of the famine, students are collecting boxes/packages of diapers to take to the Food Pantry.

Bible-A-Thon Reward Day – April 18th

Students who earned the Adventure Reward during the Bible-A-Thon will spend part of the day rock climbing (climbing wall) playing games and having lunch at Expeditions Unlimited. Permission slips are in today’s take home folders. Contact the school office if you have questions.

Governor Dodge State Park Field Trip – April 20th

Students in 3rd grade through 8th grade will be taking a field trip to Governor Dodge State Park as part of their science studies. This will be an all day trip and will require several chaperones/drivers. Permission slips are in today’s take home folders. Be advised this trip is conditional based on the weather.

High School State Forensics Festival – April 21st

CCS is honored to have four high school students presenting their forensic pieces at the state level competition in Madison on April 21st. Parents should arrange transportation for their student. All participants should meet at the top of Bascom Hill at 9:00 a.m. that morning.

National Day of Prayer – Thursday, May 3rd

Community Christian School has been invited to be part of the National Day of Prayer. This event is held on the Sauk County Courthouse lawn in downtown Baraboo. Our students will be singing this year. It is a privilege and an honor to be a part of this special day. Permission slips will be sent home next week.

Half Day Service Project – Friday, May 4th

Our final all-school service project will be at Expeditions Unlimited, a local Christian camp near Devil’s Lake. We will be helping prepare the camp for their spring and summer events. Permission slips will be sent home next week.

Students will be dismissed from CCS at 12:30 p.m.

End of Year Field Trip to Noah’s Ark – June 8th

High school and 8th grade students along with high school faculty will be spending the last day of school at Noah’s Ark in Wisconsin Dells. Permission slips are in today’s take home folders. Completed forms and payment must be returned no later than April 18th.
