Re-enrollment for 2018/2019

Information regarding re-enrollment and tuition fees for the 2018-19 school year is included in today’s take-home folder–please review carefully and contact the office with any questions.

Lunch & Milk Order Forms – Due Wednesday, February 21st

Order forms for March 5th through March 30th are in today’s take home folders. Please complete and return with your take home folder no later than this Wednesday, February 21st.

Furnace Campaign

The furnace in our 5th & 6th grade middle school classroom gave out during January and needed to be replaced. This was an unexpected expense and CCS is now accepting donations toward the cost of the new furnace ($3,000). If you are able to help, please make checks payable to CCS and include “furnace” in the memo portion of the check. Spread the word!

Field Trip – 1st & 2nd Grade – February 23rd

Please note that the date of Mrs. Baerlocher’s class field trip to the Post Office and the Baraboo State Bank has been moved to Friday, February 23rd.

Field Trip – 3rd & 4th Grade – February 23rd

Mrs. Diers’ class will be taking a tour of the State Capitol, the Historical Museum, and the Veterans Museum in Madison on Friday, February 23rd.

Field Trip – High School – March 16th

CCS high school students will be touring the Milwaukee Public Museum and viewing the planetarium show “The First Stargazers” at the Daniel M. Soref Theater & Planetarium on Friday, March 16th. This is an all day event. The group will leave at 7:45 am and return around 5:00 pm. Drivers/chaperones are needed for this trip. Permissions slips are in today’s take-home folders.

Forensics Contests

The goal of Forensics is to enhance communication skills through participation in theatre, debate and speech activities. We have several middle and high school students participating this year.

Schedule of Events: Monday, February 26th – Middle School, Level 2 at Beaver Dam

Monday, March 12th – High School, District 8 South at DeForest

Saturday, April 21st – High School, State at UW-Madison

Congratulations to last week’s high school participants. All have advanced to the next round of competition.

Boys Midas League Basketball – Grades 5th through 8th

Last Game is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20th – 4:30 p.m. at Jefferson Hawks – 304 Woodward Avenue, Sun Prairie.

Chess Club – Tuesdays 3:00 to 4:00

Chess Club continues to meet every Tuesday in the high school classroom from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. All students are invited and beginners are especially welcome to join. Please notify the office if your student will be staying for club.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Fundraising Committee – CCS is seeking individuals interested in serving on the Fundraising Committee.

Boys Golf Coaches – CCS is seeking volunteers to coach the boys’ golf team for this spring season, which begins March and ends with competitions in May.

Lunchroom/Recess Supervision. Help is need to serve lunch and monitor the lunchroom each day. Outdoor recess monitors are also needed during lunch.

Wisconsin Private School Tax Deduction

This tax deduction is available to any claimant for a pupil’s tuition to attend an eligible institution and for mandatory book fees paid to the institution. To receive a receipt of tuition and mandatory book fees paid during the 2017 calendar year, send a request to the office at: bderse@barabooccs.com
