Labels Challenge Now through February 1st
The classrooms are in the midst of a “label challenge.” Students are challenged to bring in as many Box Tops, Labels4Education, Milk Moola, MyCokeRewards, and Pizza Ranch Wagon Wheels as possible. The classroom with the highest percentage of collected labels/caps, etc. will receive a special reward. All items need to be turned into the classroom teacher by Wednesday, February 1st.

CCS Gala for Education – “A Night of Clues” – Friday, February 10, 2017
We have some fabulous items up for bid during our live and silent auctions at the Gala this year. Tickets are available in the school office or online (barabooccs.com). Use discount code ccsfam when checking out to receive the family discount rate of $30 each for up to two tickets (regular $60 each). Please “share” our event and “invite” friends and family on fb.

High School Student Help at the Gala
The high school students have been invited by the Gala Committee to help with various tasks at the Gala, such as door greeting, taking coats, clearing dishes, serving at the buffet line, serving drinks, making a forensics presentation, and cleanup afterwards. Participants will earn service hours toward the ten hours of volunteer service required every year, dinner, and up to five jeans day coupons. Students may choose to wear fancy and modest dress clothes in the style of a vintage mystery; otherwise, they should wear black dress pants and white dress tops.

Forensics Contests
Mrs. Biffert is coaching several of our middle and high school students in Forensics; the goal of Forensics is to enhance communication skills through participation in Theatre, Debate and Speech activities. The first contest for middle school students is Tuesday, February 7th, and will be held after school in Beaver Dam.

Chess Club – Chess Club begins in February and is open to all interested students. More details to come.

Boys Midas League Basketball – Grades 5th through 8th
Practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. except game days.
Games: Tuesday, January 24th – 4:30 p.m. at Oaklawn Academy, 432 Liguori Road, Edgerton
Tuesday, January 31st – 4:30 p.m. at Westside Christian School, 6815 Schneider Road, Middleton
Thursday, February 2nd – 5:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 304 Woodward Avenue, Sun Prairie

CCS Culver’s Scrip Blitz – through the end of January
There is still time to take advantage of our Culver’s Scrip Blitz. We have $25 scrip cards in the school office, and each one comes with a coupon for a free value basket (good through February 26th). For each card you purchase during the month of January, 10% of the card value will be applied toward your tuition (normally 5%).

Volunteers Needed!
Help is needed at lunch time. If you are available to help with lunch recess or monitoring the lunchroom, please contact the school office. Two volunteers are needed each day of the week.
