High School Calendar Extension – June 5th-9th
As of today, and assuming there are no more cancellations/delays/early dismissals, the high school will need to add 4 full school days and 5 hours to the school calendar. These will be scheduled June 5-9. If there are more cancellations/delays/early dismissals, the high school will need to be extended by an equivalent amount of time. At this time, the other grades do not need to add any days.
High school graduation has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 8th at 6:30 p.m.
Kindergarten and 8th grade graduation will remain as scheduled on Tuesday, May 30th at 6:30 p.m.
PTO Officer Elections – Monday, March 20th at 6:30 p.m.
The Parent/Teacher Organization is seeking to fill open officer positions: President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The election of officers will take place at the next PTO meeting scheduled for Monday, March 20th at 6:30 p.m. If you are interested in one of these positions, please contact Angela Pemberton prior to the March meeting (608-356-2177).
Also on the agenda will be a discussion and vote for the proposed mission statement: Community Christian School of Baraboo uses excellent education to support parents in their task of bringing up children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Chess Club – Mondays 3:00 to 4:15
Chess Club meets right after school in the high school classroom until 4:15 p.m. All students are invited and beginners are especially welcome to join. Please notify the office if your student will be staying for club.

Warming Shelter Supply Drive – Now through April 21st
This past Friday the students had an opportunity to hear about the Baraboo Warming Shelter from founders Pastors Matt & Rachelle Fearson of Hope Through Christ Ministries. The pastors shared a list of supplies the shelter needs to help run smoothly and provide warmth and shelter to the homeless in our area. Starting today and running through April 21st, we will be collecting paper products from the list. These items will be delivered to the shelter on April 22nd as part of the middle school 30-hour Famine project. See the enclosed flyer for more information about the shelter and the list of paper products we will be collecting.
CCS 2016/2017 Yearbook
The 8th grade class has been working diligently to create this year’s school yearbook. These hardcover books are full of memorable moments from throughout the school year and are a great way to chronicle your child’s years at CCS. “Memory slots” are available at an extra cost for anyone wishing to include a special photo and message to their child. Order forms are in today’s take home folders. All orders and payments must be turned it to the school office no later than, May 4, 2017.
Chamber Choir Tour Concert

Furnace Fundraiser Campaign – Update
So far we have raised 55% ($1,100) toward our goal of $2,000 (apx. $50 per family). A generous donor has offered CCS $1,000 if we reach our goal by the end of March. Please spread the word!
