Girls Tennis Match
The CCS high school girls tennis team will be competing this week in two separate matches. Tonight, Monday, September 19th the team heads to Baraboo High School to take on the T-Birds. Tuesday, September 20th the team travels to Reedsburg High School to take on the Beavers. Each match begins at 4:15. Go Royals!

TONIGHT! Parent/Teacher Organization Meeting – Monday, September 19, 6:30 p.m.
The PTO meets the third Monday of each month. Your involvement in our school is essential to our success. Attending PTO meetings is highly encouraged for all parents/guardians.

Bible-a-Thon – September 12-29
The first turn in day for pledge sheets was this past Friday and we are off to a great start for this year’s event. Students are encouraged to continue gathering pledges and reading their Bibles. This Friday, September 23rd is the next date to turn in pledge sheets to earn special rewards. There’s still time to earn the big prize – a Kalahari Party Adventure – before the Bible-A-Thon ends on September 30th. Contact the school office with questions.

Grandparents Day – Invite List due September 23
Guest list forms were sent home last week. Please complete and return no later than this Wednesday, September 21st. Grandparents Day is scheduled for Wednesday, October 19th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. This is a special time for students to share a part of their school day with their grandparents or other special friend.

Half-Day Service Project – Friday, September 30 (dismissing at 12:30)
Each year CCS gives back to the community by performing various services projects. Our first service project day is next week Friday, September 30th and our focus is on missionary children. A guest missionary will visit to share what it’s like to serve as a missionary family and how it has impacted their lives. In addition, CCS students will write letters and cards to children of missionaries stationed overseas.

Midas Basketball
The Midas basketball league is starting again. This is a casual basketball league for boys and girls 5th-8th grade focusing on teamwork and sportsmanship. The season runs November through February, with 4-6 games total. If your students are interested in participating, sign them up at barabooccs.com/midas or call the school office. Please sign up by Friday, September 30th. The girls’ team needs a coach, so please consider if you or someone you know might like to serve in that way.

Board Nomination Forms – Due September 30
Earlier this month nomination forms were sent home for open positions on our Board of Directors. Prayerfully consider who you believe will be a good candidate for one of the three (3) positions up for election this year. Completed forms are due in the office no later than next Friday, October 30th. If you have questions regarding this, please contact the school office. Presentation of board candidates will be held during the October PTO meeting on Monday, October 17th. The election will then be held during the November PTO meeting on Monday, November 21st.

Southern Seminary Choir Presentation – Monday, October 3rd
The Southern Seminary Choir is on tour in our area and has offered to give a special concert at CCS. The concert will begin at 2:00 pm. Parents and public are invited to attend.

Cupcakes for Life – Wednesday, October 12
Students in the middle and high school classes will be handing out cupcakes at various locations around town this day. The cupcakes are in honor of all children who have never had the opportunity to celebrate their first birthday. Permission slips will go out next week.

Gala Committee
Your help is needed! Planning is in full swing for the 2017 CCS Gala. We are looking for a few individuals who are willing to assist in garnering auction items for our live and silent auctions. If you are interested, please contact Jaime Sundsmo at jaime@cell-plus.net.

Craft Fair – Saturday, November 5th
Our 4th annual Craft & Vendor Fair is rapidly approaching. Do you or someone you know like to craft? We have openings for more crafters at our event. More information and an application for the event are available in the school office.
