High School to Food Pantry – Wednesday, April 19
High School students will be spending a few hours helping set up the Food Pantry at Bridgepoint Mission Center in Wisconsin Dells this Wednesday. If you or someone you know could benefit from the pantry, or if you would like to donate to the pantry, please contact Shannon Howley for more information.

STEM – Thursday, April 20 – 3:00 to 5:00 pm
Dr. Mendoza will be leading STEM Club on Thursday, April 20th. This club is for any/all interested students. Please let the office know if your student will be staying for club. Club will also meet on May 4th and May 18th.

30-Hour Famine – April 21 – 22
Mrs. Hawkins’s middle school students will be participating in a 30-Hour Famine at the school beginning at 3:30 pm Friday, April 21st and ending around 1:00 pm Saturday, April 22nd. As part of this 30-hour fast students will participate in activities meant to bring more awareness to worldwide hunger and the plight of the homeless locally.

Warming Shelter Supply Drive: CCS is collecting paper products (plates, napkins, cups, etc.) for the Baraboo Warming Center. Items may be dropped off at the school office. These items will be delivered to the center as part of the middle school 30-hour Famine service project.

High School State Forensics Competition – Saturday, April 22
CCS High School students Mckaryn Cross, Jasmine Hawkins, and Lyle Weeks will be presenting their forensic pieces this Saturday at the state level competition in Madison. If you would like to show your support, contact Mrs. Biffert for details: rbiffert@barabooccs.com

PTO Meeting – Monday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. (Note time change)
The Parent Committee has several activities/events coming up as we approach the end of the school year. Please attend this important meeting to learn what is ahead and how you can help.

Kindergarten Field Trip – Friday, April 28
Mrs. Hilario will be spending the day with her students at the Children’s Museum in Madison. Permission slips are in today’s take-home folders.

2017-18 Enrollment Deadline – April 28
Enrollment is now available online: barabooccs.com/enrollment Please complete the online forms and submit your $100 family registration fee by 4/28/17 in order to guarantee your spot. Book fees and 10% of tuition are due by 8/14/17.

Scholarship Application Deadline – May 30
Tuition scholarships are available each year, and awarded to families based on proven need. Scholarship applications for the 2017-18 school year are due by Tuesday, May 30. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please ask the school office for an application.

2016-17 Yearbook – Orders & Payments Due May 4
Order forms were sent home prior to Spring Break for the 2016-17 school yearbook. All yearbook orders, “memory slot” photos, and payments must be turned in to the school office no later than May 4, 2017.

Chess Club – Mondays 3:00 to 4:15
Chess Club meets Mondays right after school in the high school classroom until 4:15 p.m. Please notify the office if your student will be staying for club. Last meeting will be May 1st with a short awards ceremony. Parents are invited to attend.

CCS Enrolling Now – Yard Signs
Yard signs advertising that CCS is Now Enrolling are available for anyone interested in placing one in their yard. These can be found outside the school office. You can also earn volunteer hours by placing yard signs around town, with property owners’ permissions.
