Spirit Week – May 29 – June 1

During Spirit Week, students are invited to dress according to a daily theme. Students may participate in these special dress-up days, although they are not required to do so. If students are not dressing for Spirit Week, they should dress in their regular school uniform. Participation in the dress-up days is a privilege that may be revoked for misbehavior or incomplete work.

  • Wednesday – Superhero Day (dress as your favorite superhero, or make up a new one)

  • Thursday – Twins/Multiples (dress exactly like one or more of your friends)

  • Friday – Athletics Day (dress as an athlete, favorite sports team, etc.)

 

Senior Thesis Presentation – Wednesday, May 30

Mckaryn Cross will be presenting her senior thesis before a select panel this week. This represents a capstone project for senior high school students.

 

Graduation Rehearsal – Thursday, May 318:15 am

CCS students (K-8) and staff will be rehearsing for the Kindergarten & 8th Grade Graduation at Living Hope Church on Thursday morning, May 31st. Transportation for this trip will be via school bus.

 

Kindergarten & 8th Grade Graduation – Thursday, May 316:30 pm

Graduation will be held at Living Hope Church. Dress code for participating students (grades 1-5) is the default field trip uniform: royal blue polo shirt with logo and khaki bottoms.  Kindergarten & 8th Grade graduates may wear dress clothes. Participating students should arrive by 6:15pm.

 

Field Day – Friday, June 1

Parents are invited to watch and participate in Field Day activities after lunch starting at 12:30pm  on Friday, June 2. Awards will be presented at 2:30 pm.

 

High School Graduation – Thursday, June 76:30 pm

Graduation will be held at Walnut Hill Bible Church. Participating high school students should wear dress clothes.

 

End of School Year

The last day of K-8 is June 1.  The last day of high school is June 8.

 

Student Art Competition for Farm to Table Dinner

Flyers were sent home last week detailing this fun summer challenge. Students are invited to create their own unique piece of art to be included in the live auction during our Farm to Table Dinner event on September 20th. Art pieces will be voted on by the student body and CCS staff. The artists whose work receives the highest number of votes overall will receive a special prize. Homework and jeans day passes will also be awarded to the top 2 artists in each classroom. For further information contact the office.
