THURSDAY, APRIL 30 through SUNDAY, MAY 3 – BADGER STEAM & GAS SWAP MEET
We will have a CCS food booth at the Swap Meet this weekend. Elite Catering will be preparing all the food and will even have a Friday Fish Fry from 4:00 – 6:30 on May 1st. For more information about this event see the flyer that was sent home in yesterday’s take-home folder, or call the school office at 608-448-2191. Volunteers are needed to help with this event!
Friday, May 1ST – Half Day of School& Community Service Project Day!
CCS will be helping clean around the grounds at Expeditions Unlimited this Friday as part of our Community Service Outreach. Permission slips went home last week. If you have not returned yours yet, please turn it in tomorrow. School uniforms are NOT required. Please dress your child in work clothes that can dirty, but also are in keeping with our school’s dress code (modest, no holes). If your child has work gloves, they may want to bring these as well.
Lunch will be at Expeditions; we will still have pizza & milk for those who ordered from the lunch menu.
We will return to the school in time to be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.
Students who need a booster seat will need to provide their own seat for this trip.
There will be bus service only to the bus lane at the high school.
Thursday, May 7 – 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. – National Day of Prayer
CCS will be attending the National Day of Prayer again this year. Volunteers are needed to help transport and supervise students for this event. If you are able to help, please contact the school office. Permission slips are in today’s take-home folder.
Wednesday, April 29 through Friday, May 15th –Box Tops and Labels for Education Competition
One last push for Box Tops and Labels for Education! A classroom contest begins today and ends May 15th. The class with the most labels will earn a classroom reward.
Wednesday, May 20 – 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. – Rural Safety Day Camp (Mrs. Diers’ class)
Students in grades 3-5 will take part in the Rural Safety Day Camp at the Sauk County Fairgrounds. They will be learning about a wide variety of safety issues and how to stay safe. Permission slips will be sent home the week before the event.
The Kindergarten and 8th grade graduations will be on Tuesday, June 2 at 6:30, in conjunction with the spring program. The high school graduation will be on Thursday, June 4 at 6:30. Students are required to attend both programs. More details to follow.
Stake Yard Signs to Fulfill Volunteer Hours
CCS requires at least two hours of volunteer service from each family, per student enrolled. Now that the ground has thawed we need volunteers to spread the word by staking yard signs around town. This can be done on your own time.
