Spirit Week June 1 – June 5
Excitement is building as students prepare for Spirit Week. Students may participate in these special dress-up days, although they are not required to. If they do not participate in the dress-up days, they must wear the school uniform. Participation in the dress-up days is a privilege that may be revoked for misbehavior or incomplete work.
If students participate, their clothing must adhere to the following requirements:
- The outfit must be modest and appropriate, in accordance with the dress code principles and guidelines provided in the handbook;
- Outfits must be more than mere accessorizing, and are not an excuse to dress casually;
- A uniform must be either worn beneath the outfit, or brought to school in addition to the worn outfit;
- All outfits are subject to staff approval.
Special Spirit Days:
- Monday – Favorite Color – dress head to toe in your favorite color (hat, shirt, pants, socks, etc.)
- Tuesday – Public Service (police, firemen, EMS, military)
- Wednesday – Lumberjacks (break out your flannel!)
- Thursday – Throwback Thursday (historical figures)
- Friday – Sports Teams
The Kindergarten and 8th grade graduation will be on Tuesday, June 2 at 6:30, in conjunction with the spring program. This will be held at CCS in the gym.
The high school graduation will be on Thursday, June 4 at 6:30. This event will be held at Living Hope Church on Hwy BD just north of Baraboo.
All students are required to attend both programs.
June 5 – Last Day of School
Parents, join us at 1:30 for ice cream, field games and a time of fellowship with other CCS parents. Please bring your own lawn chairs. Year end awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m.
Registration for 2015-16
If you have not already turned in your registration form for 2015-16, please do so at your earliest convenience. Family registration fee of $100 is due with the form. Your registration helps us prepare for next school year (books, materials).
Please stop by the school office and pick up any remaining medication, cough drops, etc. that you have sent in for your student this year. Anything left after June 5th will be subject to disposal.
June 13 – All Families – Deep Clean School
Families, please join us for a deep clean of the school facilities. Cleaning begins at 8:00 a.m. and will go until about 10:00 a.m. This year-end cleaning is to prepare the school for closure over the summer months.
Wishing you a wonderful rest of your week and weekend,
Barbara Derse, Administrative Assistant
