Community Christian School Newsletter – Wednesday, May 6, 2015

Thursday, May 7 – 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. – National Day of Prayer
CCS will be participating in the National Day of Prayer on the Sauk County Courthouse lawn in Baraboo. Feel free to join us at the event from 12:00 noon until 12:45 p.m.

Wednesday, April 29 through Friday, May 15th –Box Tops and Labels for Education Competition
One last push for Box Tops and Labels for Education! The class with the most labels will earn a classroom reward. Labels are due May 15th.

Friday, May 15 – K thru 2 Field Trip (all day)
Permission slips are in today’s take-home folder for the K-2 science trip to Wisconsin Dells. Several volunteers are needed for this event. Please let the office know if you are able to help.

Friday, May 15 – Mrs. Diers’ 3-5 Class Field Trip
Permission slips are in today’s take-home folder for the 3-5 class trip to the Badger Steam & Gas show grounds. Please complete and return no later than Monday, May 11th.

Monday, May 18 – Yearbook Orders Due
Order forms for the 2014/2015 CCS Yearbook are in today’s take-home folder. All orders must be turned in no later than Monday, May 18th. If you are ordering a “memory page,” please have your order and photo in no later than Wednesday, May 13th.

Wednesday, May 20 – 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. – Rural Safety Day Camp (Mrs. Diers’ class)
Students in grades 3-5 will take part in the Rural Safety Day Camp at the Sauk County Fairgrounds. They will be learning about a wide variety of safety issues and how to stay safe. Permission slips will be sent home next week.

2015 Graduations
The Kindergarten and 8th grade graduations will be on Tuesday, June 2 at 6:30, in conjunction with the spring program. The high school graduation will be on Thursday, June 4 at 6:30. Students are required to attend both programs. More details to follow.

Stake Yard Signs to Fulfill Volunteer Hours
CCS requires at least two hours of volunteer service from each family, per student enrolled. Now that the ground has thawed we need volunteers to help market CCS by staking yard signs around town. This can be done on your own time.
