Elizabeth Novey is the 4K teacher at CCS. She has a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and a B.S. in Biblical & Educational Studies from Liberty University. She also holds ACSI certifications in Early Education, Elementary Education, and Bible. Elizabeth completed her teaching practicum in the 5K classroom at CCS, and it was then that she knew this is where she wanted to teach someday!
Elizabeth has experience working with young children in various venues. She started out doing child care and working as a nanny in private homes, as well as tutoring in reading and math. She taught preschool Sunday school for five years and also had the privilege of homeschooling two preschoolers for a school year. Most recently, she worked as a lead teacher in an early learning center in Waunakee and continues to do so when she is not teaching at CCS.
The Lord has placed a strong calling in Elizabeth’s heart to help children get to know Jesus Christ and become rooted in biblical truth. It is an honor to her to come alongside parents in facilitating their children’s growth. Elizabeth loves to nurture students’ natural curiosity and inspire within them a passion for learning, exploring God’s world alongside God’s Word. Having been homeschooled from third grade through high school, she was blessed to have studied all subjects from a biblical worldview stemming from the foundation of Proverbs 9:10.
Elizabeth enjoys hiking, biking, long road trips with her family (they get pretty comical after the first 12 consecutive hours on the interstate), card-making, and learning!
