“Put Your Teacher in Jail” – Ends April 19

The 8th grade class fundraiser “Put Your Teacher in Jail” began last Wednesday and has created quite the buzz and excitement around school. The students are eagerly waiting to see which teachers get “jailed” and which classrooms earn an afternoon party. Donations to the “jail jars” for each classroom continues through Thursday, April 19th.

Choice Program Open Enrollment Closes this Friday, April 20

Please remind friends and family that open enrollment for the 2018-19 Wisconsin Parental Choice (aka voucher) Program ends on Friday, April 20 at 4pm. The program allows students whose families meet income qualifications the ability to attend CCS, tuition-free. Re-enrollment Reminder for 2018-19

Family registration fees ($100 per family) and online re-enrollment are due Friday, April 20th in order to guarantee your students’ seats next year. If you have questions regarding re-enrollment, please contact the school office.

Bible-A-Thon Reward Day – April 18

Students who earned the Adventure Reward during the Bible-A-Thon will spend part of the day with Mr. Lempa rock climbing (climbing wall), playing games, and having lunch (provided) at Expeditions Unlimited.

Governor Dodge State Park Field Trip – Rescheduled for April 27

Due to the recent wet weather this week’s field trip to Governor Dodge State Park has been rescheduled until next week Friday, April 27th. This trip is for students in 3rd grade through 8th grade. Chaperones/drivers, please contact the office if you are no longer able to assist with this trip.

High School State Forensics Festival – April 21

CCS is honored to have four high school students presenting their forensic pieces at the state level competition in Madison on April 21st. Parents should arrange transportation for their student. All participants should meet at the top of Bascom Hill at 9:00 a.m. that morning.

Grades 1 & 2 at Walnut Hill Bible Church – Sunday, April 29

Students in Mrs. Baerlocher’s class have been invited to sing during both morning worship services (8:00 and 11:00) at Walnut Hill Bible Church on Sunday, April 9th. Students must be in the church sanctuary by 7:20 that morning for a sound check. Students should wear their CCS royal blue polo shirt with either khaki pants or a khaki skirt. Parents are responsible for their students between services and will need to provide their own transportation.

National Day of Prayer – Thursday, May 3

Community Christian School has been invited to be part of the National Day of Prayer by singing in the service. This event is held on the Sauk County Courthouse lawn in downtown Baraboo. It is a privilege and an honor to be a part of this special day. Permission slips are in today’s take home folder.

Half Day Service Project – Friday, May 4

Our final all-school service project will be at Expeditions Unlimited, a local Christian camp near Devil’s Lake. We will be helping prepare the camp for their spring and summer events. Permission slips are in today’s take home folder.

Students will be dismissed from CCS at 12:30 p.m.

End of Year Field Trip to Noah’s Ark – June 8

High school and 8th grade students along with high school faculty will be spending the last day of school at Noah’s Ark in Wisconsin Dells. Permission slips are in today’s take home folders. Completed forms and payment must be returned no later than April 18th.
