“Put Your Teacher in Jail” – Results
The 8th grade class fundraiser “Put Your Teacher in Jail” was a great success! The students raised $486.10. WOW! A special “Thank You” to all who brought in donations. Mrs. Baerlocher and Mrs. Hawkins will be “jailed” for an afternoon, and their classes will be rewarded with a party.
High School State Forensics Festival – April 21
Congratulations to our high school students who competed at State Forensics this past Saturday. All took home medals.
Re-enrollment Reminder for 2018-19
Family registration fees ($100 per family) and online re-enrollment were due last Friday, April 20th in order to guarantee your students’ seats next year. If you missed the deadline, please complete your registration and enrollment asap.
Bible-A-Thon Reward Day – Rescheduled for May 2
Students who earned the Adventure Reward during the Bible-A-Thon will spend part of the day with Mr. Lempa rock climbing (climbing wall), playing games, and having lunch (provided) at Expeditions Unlimited.
Governor Dodge State Park Field Trip – Rescheduled for April 27
Students in grades 3rd through 8th will spend the day at Governor Dodge State Park this Friday, April 27th. There will be no Subway orders for this group of students.
Grades 1 & 2 at Walnut Hill Bible Church – Sunday, April 29
Students in Mrs. Baerlocher’s class have been invited to sing during both morning worship services (8:00 and 11:00) at Walnut Hill Bible Church on Sunday, April 9th. Students must be in the church sanctuary by 7:20 that morning for a sound check. Students should wear their CCS royal blue polo shirt with either khaki pants or a khaki skirt. Parents are responsible for their students between services and will need to provide their own transportation.
National Day of Prayer – Thursday, May 3
Community Christian School has been invited to be part of the National Day of Prayer by singing in the service. This event is held on the Sauk County Courthouse lawn in downtown Baraboo. It is a privilege and an honor to be a part of this special day. Permission slips were sent home last week.
Half Day Service Project – Friday, May 4
Our final all-school service project will be at Expeditions Unlimited, a local Christian camp near Devil’s Lake. We will be helping prepare the camp for their spring and summer events. Permission slips were sent home last week.
Students will be dismissed from CCS at 12:30 p.m.
Grades 3 & 4 to Rural Safety Days – Wednesday, May 16
Students in Mrs. Diers’s class will take part in the annual Rural Safety Days Camp held at the Sauk County Fairgrounds. They will learn about safety issues and prevention in various disciplines. Permission slips are in today’s take home folder.
Grades 3 & 4 to Old World Wisconsin – Friday, May 18
Students in Mrs. Diers’s class will travel to Old World Wisconsin where they will learn about early settlers to Wisconsin. Permission slips are in today’s take home folder.
Grades 1 & 2 – Discovery World Milwaukee – Friday, May 25
Students in Mrs. Baerlocher’s class will travel to Milwaukee for some hands-on experiences at Discovery World Science & Technology Center. Permission slips will be sent home next week.
