It seems just yesterday we closed the doors and said goodbye for the summer. Now a few short weeks later the doors are open again, and we are welcoming both old and new students to a brand new school year. We are excited to see everyone, and look forward with anticipation for what God has in store for all of us.
The weekly take-home folder from the school office will be sent home on Mondays. It will contain pertinent paperwork and information from the administrative offices. Any forms, along with the folder, need to be returned to the office by Wednesday of the same week. Teacher newsletters will be sent home from your student’s classroom.
Registration Paperwork & Volunteer Packets – Due Wednesday, September 2nd
Registration forms sent out earlier this month were due August 17th. If you have not submitted your completed packets, please turn them in no later than Wednesday, September 2nd.
Lunch/Milk Order Forms & Accounts
We are trying a new procedure for ordering lunches and milk this year. A monthly order form will be sent home at the end of each month for the following month. The September order form was emailed out last week and is due today. If you have trouble opening the emailed document, contact the school office for a hard copy. Orders for September lunches and milk will be accepted up until Wednesday, September 2nd.
If your student will have lunch and/or milk during the school year, please make a deposit to their lunch account at the beginning of the school year. Notification will be sent home when the account balance gets low.
T-Shirt Order Forms
If your student is in 3rd grade or older, they will need a CCS t-shirt for gym class. Order forms were made available at the Parent Orientation. If you did not get a form and need to order a t-shirt, please contact the school office. Order forms with payment are due Friday, September 4th.
If your student will need medication during school hours, a signed Medication Form must be on file in the school office. Prescription medications need to be in original prescription bottle with prescription label in place. All medications must be delivered to the school office by a parent/legal guardian, and will be kept locked in the medicine cabinet.
CCS is always in need of volunteer help. If you would like to help at the school, please stop by the office and pick up a volunteer packet. All volunteers are required to have a background check run to ensure the safety of our students. Families are required to volunteer a minimum of two (2) hours per month per student. Parents are responsible for reporting their volunteer hours to the school office. This can be done via email or by recording them on the sign in/sign out sheet outside the school office.
Monday, September 7th – NO SCHOOL
CCS will be closed for Labor Day observances. Enjoy time with family and friends.
4K begins Tuesday, September 8th
We have expanded the hours of the 4K program which will now end at 11:00 a.m. each day Monday through Thursday. We are looking forward to having our preschool students with us and are very excited to welcome Mr. Sundsmo as their new teacher.
Chapel – Wednesday Mornings
Each Wednesday morning from 8:10 until 8:45 or so we will hold Chapel in the school gym. Parents are welcome to join us for this special time of praise, worship, and a lesson from God’s Word.
We are looking forward to a fantastic school year and are very pleased to have you as part of our CCS family!
