Additional School Time Due to Inclement Weather
Starting Monday, February 25, the following changes to the school schedule will take effect:
- School will start 10 minutes early, at 7:50am. The regular morning shuttle bus already arrives by this time.
- School will end 15 minutes later, at 3:15pm. The regular afternoon shuttle bus will be 15 minutes later.
- May 10 will be a full school day instead of a half day.
- The 4K will add June 3rd-6th.
- The 7th-12th grades will add June 10th-14th. High school graduation will be delayed by one week and now take place on June 13, 2019.
- Eighth Grade Graduation will be Tuesday, June 11.
PTO Meeting – Tuesday, February 19 – 6:30 pm
Parents are invited to the monthly meeting. This is an opportunity for you to meet other CCS parents. The group will be discussing final plans for the CCS Family Feud game night as well as other topics. PTO newsletter and last month’s minutes are in today’s Family Folder.
Classroom Challenge – Due Wednesday, February 20th
All BoxTops, Milk Moola, Coke Rewards and Ranch Wheels that have been collected for your student’s classroom need to be turned in to their teacher no later than this Wednesday, February 20th.
PTO Scrip Orders – Due Friday, February 22nd
Order forms for the PTO Scrip program are in today’s Family Folder. Each item purchased off the order form or online earns the PTO a certain percentage of the purchase price at no extra cost to you.
Lunch/Milk Order Forms – Due Friday, February 22nd
Order forms are in today’s Family Folder. Please complete and return no later than this Friday.
Due to the recent delays, the third quarter midterm progress reports will be delayed by one week. They are now scheduled for release on Monday, February 25.
2019-20 School Year Re-enrollment
Please see the included “Re-enrollment/Tuition Information Sheet” for re-enrollment instructions, and contact the office if you have any questions. Online re-enrollment and a non-refundable $100 family registration fee are due Thursday, April 18 in order to guarantee your non-Choice students’ space in the classroom.
Parental Choice Program
Open enrollment for the Wisconsin Parental Choice (aka voucher) Program is now through April 20. If you intend to apply for a voucher, it is recommended that you apply early in case corrections need to be made to your application.
CCS Family Game Show Night – Friday, March 1 – 6:30 pm
The CCS PTO is hosting a CCS Family Feud game night. See flyer for more details.
Come Out and Tube with Us! Tuesday, March 5 (4:00 to 9:00)
Our tubing fundraiser at Cascade Mountain will be March 5th (4 to 9 pm). Free hand warmers will be provided. The public is invited to participate so please spread the word. A warming and observation area is available in the snack shack and does not require a ticket. See previous flyer for more information.
Forensics – Practices and Festivals
The goal of Forensics is to enhance communication skills through participation in theatre, debate and speech activities. We have several middle and high school students participating this year.

2/20 – Practice at CCS 3/11 – District 8 South at DeForest
2/26 – Level II at Beaver Dam 4/13 – State at UW – Madison
Congratulations to our high school participants. All have advanced to the next round of competition.
Culver’s & Kwik Trip Scrip Cards
We have a good supply of scrip cards available through the school office. Any amount you purchase earns 5% of the purchase value toward your family’s tuition. In addition you’ll receive a coupon for a free value meal basket for every $30 of Culver’s cards purchased (coupons expire February 28, 2019).
