No ASL Club Today – Monday, March 11th

Snow Tubing Fundraiser at Cascade Mountain Tuesday, March 12 (4 to 9)

After umpteen postponements due to cold weather, the Cascade tubing event will be held tomorrow night, rain or shine. The warm weather will not hinder tubing. The public is invited to participate so please invite friends and family. A warming and observation area is available in the snack shack and does not require a ticket. Flyers and waivers are in today’s Family Folders.

Board Contact with Families

Members of the governing board will be reaching out to each family in the school in order to meet, get to know each other, and foster communication and fellowship among the school.

CCS Winter Hats – $12

CCS winter hats now available and going fast! The knit beanies are royal blue, white, and navy striped with a big pom on top. They are available to purchase for $12.

Guitar Club for Middle and High School – Monday, March 11th (3:15 to 4:15)

Several high school students have expressed an interest in forming an after school Guitar Club. Mr. Paape will meet with interested students from 3:15 PM until 4:15 PM. Guitars are not required to join. Instruments of several types will be available for the students to use. Student suggestions will be used to decide on the format of the club. The club is open to students in grades 5-12.

Chess Club – Thursdays (3:15 to 4:00)

Mr. Considine will hold Chess Club on Thursday the next two weeks. The club will meet in the back high school room.

High School Forensics – Festivals

3/11 – District 8 South at DeForest – Good luck team!

Practice – every Wednesday leading up to State

4/13 – State at UW-Madison

Yearbook Club – Thursdays (3:15 to 4:15)

All members of the yearbook club should attend each meeting. Club meets each week up to Spring Break.

Riddle Me This Challenge

A riddle will be placed on the LED sign board Tuesday morning. Anyone who submits the correct answer will have their name put in a drawing for a free CCS Winter Hat from Mr. Paape. Entry forms are outside the office. Place your answers in the black mailbox on the office door no later than 3:15 on Thursday. Be sure to include your name. Drawing for the winner will be Friday morning during assembly.

Parent/Teacher Conferences – April 4th & 5th

Letters will be sent home next week with your conference date and time. If you have not already signed up for a conference time, a letter noting available time slots for your student’s classroom is in today’s Family Folder.
