Teacher Appreciation Week
This week, May 6 through May 10, is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Let’s show our teachers how much we appreciate all they do for our students.
End of School Year
The last day of school for Kindergarten through 6th grade is Friday, May 31st. Four year old Kindergarten will continue through Thursday, June 6th. Seventh through 12th grade continues through Friday, June 14. For these last two weeks of school (June 3rd through 14th) there will be no hot lunch, no chapels, and no uniform requirement. The regular shuttle bus will be running.
Put Your Teacher In Jail – Results
The fundraiser started out a little slow but quickly gained momentum as competition heated up between classrooms. The total amount raised through the students’ efforts is $951. These funds will be used toward the 8th grade trip to the Creation Museum later this month. The class that raised the most funds was the high school with $348.53 and second place was Mr. Wunderlich’s class with $162.55. While these teachers are “locked up” their students will enjoy a party in the afternoon.
Kindergarten Field Trip – Thursday, May 9th
The students in Mrs. Hilario’s class are heading to the Madison Children’s Museum for some hands-on learning.
Permission slips were sent home last week.
Rural Safety Days, Grades 3 & 4 – Wednesday, May 15th
Students in Mrs. Diers’s class will take part in the annual Rural Safety Days Camp held at the Sauk County Fairgrounds. They will learn about safety issues and prevention in various disciplines. Permission slips are in today’s Family Folder.
Kindergarten to Aladdin – Friday, May 17
Students in Mrs. Hilario’s classroom will be attending the dress rehearsal for Aladdin at the Al Ringling Theater. The play is being performed by students from St. John’s Lutheran School. Drivers are needed for this trip. Permission slips are in today’s Family Folder.
Lunch/Milk Order Form – Due Wednesday, May 8
The final order form of the school year is in today’s Family Folder. It is in a different format than previous forms, so please take careful notice of your options. Please note there will be no milk or lunch available in June. Students who are required to attend school through June 14th will need to provide their own lunch.
Lost and Found
There are several items that have been found around the school over the past several months. These items are located in the cubbies outside of the office. Please take anything that belongs to your family.
