Inclement Weather – School Closings Information

If the school needs to close or delay opening for inclement weather, families will be notified by email. You may also check the school’s website and facebook page where we will post the same information. Additionally, we will be listed on Channel3000, WKOW27, and NBC15. Any decisions will be made by 6:30 am; if there is no announcement by 6:30 am, school will be open in the morning as usual. While CCS generally follows the Baraboo School District regarding cancellations/delays, be aware that CCS does not always follow their decisions. In case of severe weather during the school day, students will remain at school until they are dismissed.

Cooler Weather

Refer to page 14 of the student handbook regarding outdoor clothing guidelines. When temperatures dip to 35 degrees or below, a jacket, hat and mittens/gloves are required for outdoor play. Boots are also required to play in the snow. Please be sure to send these items with your student. Consider sending an extra set of hats/mittens to be kept at school.
