CCS Craft & Vendor Fair – Volunteers Needed Friday, November 2 & Saturday, November 3rd

Our big event is this weekend and lots of volunteers are needed to help. High school students are welcome to volunteer. Please contact the office with your availability.

Nov 2: 8:00 am to noon – clear out all classrooms, mark booth areas, move lunch tables, & set up eating area.

4:00 pm to 8:00 pm – direct vendors to their booths, assist vendors carry in and set up display.

Nov 3: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm – clean up and restore classrooms for Monday classes.

Parent/Teacher Conferences – Thursday, November 8th and Friday, November 9th

Letters with your conference times were sent home in last week’s Family Folder. If you have questions regarding your appointment, please contact the office.

Picture Retake Day – Thursday, November 15th

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your school pictures, contact the office and a spot will be reserved for your student on Picture Retake Day. Pictures will be taken first thing Thursday morning, November 15th.

Veteran’s Day Program – Thursday, November 15th – 6:30 pm

CCS students, along with their teachers, have prepared a special program to honor our American Heroes: Military, Police, Fire and EMS personnel – active and retired. The program will be held at Living Hope Church in Baraboo and begins at 6:30 pm. Students should wear red, white or blue uniform tops and khaki pants/skirts and arrive at Living Hope by 6:15.

Trading Cards

Trading cards (such as baseball, Pokemon, etc.) are no longer allowed at school. Please leave these items at home.

Jeans Day Passes

Students who have received a Jeans Day Pass are welcome to use these to wear jeans and a t-shirt for the day. They should present their pass to Mr. Lempa when they enter the building and then inform their classroom teacher.

Parent/Student Meetings with the Board

There will be two meetings at which members of the governing body of the school will be present and at which all pupils and the parents or guardians of all pupils applying to attend the school or attending the school may meet and communicate with board members. The meetings will take place at CCS at the following dates and times:

Friday, November 9 at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 7 at 6:30 pm

American Sign Language (ASL) Club – Mondays 3:00 to 4:00

The club will meet each week throughout the year when school is in session. If your student would like to participate, please contact the office. Parents are required to be present for students in fourth grade and lower.

Junior High Boys Basketball

The CCS Junior High Boys Basketball team is looking for boys to sign up for this upcoming season. Boys in grades 5th to 8th grade at CCS or homeschooled can sign up for the team by clicking here. Practice will start on November 29th after school. Games run through December and January, with most games and practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Games will be played against area private schools and Madison homeschool teams.

Box Top Challenge Results

With an average of 57.5 items per student, the winning classroom is Mrs. Baerlocher’s 1st & 2nd grade. Congratulations!
