Ski-Hi Apple Orchard Field Trip – Wednesday, October 10th
Students in 1st through 4th grade will be visiting Ski-Hi Fruit Farm. Students should bring a sack lunch. A donation of $5 is suggested for this trip. If you would like to sponsor a student you are invited to send payments payable to CCS.
PTO Meeting – Tuesday, October 16th (6:30 pm)
Thank you for completing the survey that was sent home last month. The latest PTO Newsletter and minutes from last month’s meeting are included in today’s take home folders. Please review for updates on meeting times and other important information. Board nominees will introduce themselves at the October 16th PTO Meeting.
Kindergarten Field Trip – Friday, October 19th
Students in Mrs. Hilario’s class will be visiting Country Bumpkin Farm in Wisconsin Dells. Students should bring a sack lunch to be eaten at the farm.
American Sign Language (ASL) Club
ASL Club will be offered Monday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:00 beginning October 22nd. The club will meet each week throughout the year when school is in session. If your student would like to participate, please contact the office. Parents required for fourth graders and younger.
Box Top Challenge – Through October 23rd
The challenge is on! From now through Tuesday, October 23rd students are encouraged to collect and bring in Box Tops, Milk Moola, Coke Rewards and Ranch Rewards (Pizza Ranch wagon wheels) for their classroom. At the end of the challenge the class with the highest percentage of collected items will earn a special reward.
CCS Craft & Vendor Fair – Saturday, November 3 (9:00am to 3:00pm)
This event has a two-fold purpose; one is to help raise awareness of our school and two, it helps raise classroom funds. Monies raised will be used to help offset costs of field trips, special projects and supplies. The Craft Fair is a big event and requires a lot of volunteer help. Please refer to the enclosed flyer to see how you may help this year.
Parent/Teacher Conferences – Thursday, November 8th and Friday, November 9th
For parents who have not yet signed up for a conference time, please stop by or contact the school office to schedule your appointment.
Parent/Student Meetings with the Board
There will be two meetings at which members of the governing body of the school will be present and at which all pupils and the parents or guardians of all pupils applying to attend the school or attending the school may meet and communicate with board members. The meetings will take place at CCS at the following dates and times:
Friday, November 9 at 1:00 pm
Thursday, February 7 at 6:30 pm
PTO Scrip Program
An order form for the PTO scrip program is included in today’s take home folder. Cards other than those listed are available and can be found at shop.shopwithscrip.com – please list these at the bottom of the order form. Forms along with payment are due in the school office by Wednesday, October 17th.
Kwik Trip & Culver’s Scrip Cards
Kwik Trip and Culver’s scrip cards are available in the school office throughout the school year. Five percent of each purchased card’s face value can be applied as a credit to your tuition account. Cards can be picked up daily from the school office, or an order may be placed along with your PTO scrip order.
