Midas Basketball League
CCS will be joining local private and charter schools to form a basketball league for boys and girls 4th-8th grade. The season will run November through February, with 4-6 games. Watch for further details.

Pledge Drive – September 8-25
We are off to a great start with our CCS Pledge Drive. We held our first “turn-in” this past Friday, and several students received rewards for their efforts. Students are encouraged to continue collecting monthly sponsorships and one-time gift donations. Turn-in dates for the rest of the drive are Friday, September 18 and Friday, September 25.

Middle School Field Trip – Tuesday, September 15
Students in middle school will be attending the “Career Fair at the Fair” sponsored by the Baraboo Agricultural Education Advisory Council. This is a wonderful time to be praying for our students as they begin to think about career options for their future beyond CCS.

Parent Committee Meeting – Monday, September 21, 6:30 p.m.
The Parent Committee meets next week Monday and every third Monday of the month. Your involvement in our school is a fundamental key to our success. Attending Parent Committee meetings is highly encouraged for all parents/guardians. These meetings provide an opportunity for your voice to be heard, and your ideas to be shared.

Volunteers Needed!
We are looking for more volunteers to help at lunchtime. Ideally we would like to have a volunteer in the lunchroom during the entire lunch period, as well as two playground volunteers during recess. If you are willing to help on a regular basis, or even once in awhile, please contact the school office.

Craft Fair – Saturday, November 7, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The 3rd annual CCS Craft Fair is rapidly approaching. We are looking for the following:

  • Parents to volunteer helping with classroom craft projects.
  • Donated items to be raffled off during the craft fair.
  • Craft and home-based business vendors–do you know people who make or sell crafts? Invite them to be
part of our craft fair. Applications are available from the school office.
