See You At The Pole – Wednesday, September 26th
See You At The Pole (SYATP) is an annual gathering of thousands of Christian students at the flagpoles in front of their local schools for prayer, scripture-reading, and worship during the early morning before school starts. Students in Baraboo are welcome to gather at the high school or middle school flagpole at 7:00 am for prayer. A SYATP Rally will be held in the evening at the Baraboo High School from 6:30 to 8:30 with music from the Youth Worship Team. In addition, three local youth pastors will be speaking. Everyone is welcome to join any and all events. That morning, CCS will gather for morning assembly around our own flagpole at 8:10; parents are welcome to join us.
Yearbook Meeting – Thursday, September 27th (3:15 pm to 4:15 pm)
The first yearbook meeting will be held after school this Thursday afternoon in Mrs. Hawkins’ classroom.
Half Day – Friday, September 28th
This will be a shortened day of classes. Lunch will be served and dismissal will be after recess at 12:30 pm. Bus service will be provided to the high school bus lane.
Picture Day – Monday, October 1st
School pictures will be taken during the morning of Monday, October 1st. Forms to pre-order packets were sent home in last week’s take home folders. Packets may also be ordered online at mylifetouch.com Use Picture Day ID FS148354Q0. Previews of pictures will not be available until photos and orders have been processed and shipped to CCS (about three weeks).
Board Nominations – Due October 1st
CCS has four positions to fill on the Board of Directors. Nomination forms are available in the school office and completed forms are due by Monday, October 1st. Presentation of board candidates will be held during the October PTO meeting and the election will then be held during the November PTO meeting.
Ski Hi Apple Orchard Field Trip – Wednesday, October 10th
Students in 1st through 4th grade will be visiting Ski Hi Fruit Farm. There will be 30 students on this trip and approximately 6-7 drivers will be needed to help with transportation and supervision. Permission slips are in today’s take home folders. If you are able to help drive & chaperone, please indicate this on the form.
Kindergarten Field Trip – Friday, October 19th
Students in Mrs. Hilario’s class will be visiting Country Bumpkin Farm in Wisconsin Dells. Permission slips will be in next week’s take home folders.
CCS Craft & Vendor Fair – Saturday, November 3 (9:00 am to 3:00 pm)
Do you craft or know someone who does? CCS is looking for “crafty” persons to set up a booth during our 6th Annual Craft & Vendor Fair. For more information please contact the school office.
Volunteer Opportunity – Lunchroom/Recess Supervision
With increased enrollment comes increased need for assistance. If you are interested in getting to know our new students or to get reacquainted with returning students, we’ve got just the right fit for you. CCS is looking for a few superhero volunteers to help monitor the lunchroom and/or outdoor recess during lunch time each day.
