Announcement from Mrs. Baerlocher
Please see the included letter from Mrs. Baerlocher announcing her departure from CCS at the end of this year. Mrs. Baerlocher has faithfully served CCS since its founding in 2010 and we wish her all the best for this new adventure! Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
After School Care Next Year
CCS is planning to offer after school care starting next school year. This will allow working parents to pick their students up at school after work. It will also provide better synchronization with after school extracurriculars. Please spread the word!
Snow Tubing Fundraiser – Rescheduled for Tuesday, March 12 (4 to 9)
Please note the date change. We are (again) rescheduling this fun evening to next week due to the expected wind chills. Free hand warmers will be provided. The public is invited to participate so please invite friends and family. A warming and observation area is available in the snack shack and does not require a ticket.
Aldo Leopold Field Trip – Rescheduled for March 8th
Due to negative temperatures and severe wind chills, this field trip has been rescheduled to this Friday, March 8th. Chaperones have been arranged for this trip.
Guitar Club for Middle and High School – Monday, March 11th (3:15 to 4:15)
Several high school students have expressed an interest in forming an after school Guitar Club. Next Monday, March 11th, Mr. Paape will meet with interested students from 3:15 PM until 4:15 PM. Guitars are not required to join. Instruments of several types will be available for the students to use. Student suggestions will be used to decide on the format of the club. The club is open to students in grades 5-12.
CCS Winter Hats – $12.00
CCS winter hats now available! The knit beanies are royal blue, white, and navy striped with a big pom on top. These will be available to purchase for $12 starting tomorrow.
Chess Club – Thursday, March 7th
The CCS Chess Club will be held this week, Thursday from 3:10 to 4:00. Mr. Considine will oversee the club which will meet in the back high school room.
