Bible-A-Thon Reward Day – Rescheduled for May 2

Students who earned the Adventure Reward during the Bible-A-Thon will spend part of the day with Mr. Lempa rock climbing (climbing wall), playing games, and having lunch (provided) at Expeditions Unlimited. Participating students may wear athletic clothes to school tomorrow.

National Day of Prayer – Thursday, May 3

Community Christian School has been invited to sing during this special service. The event is held on the Sauk County Courthouse lawn in downtown Baraboo. Please send a picnic blanket with your student to sit on. We will be traveling by bus to the event. If parents wish to meet us downtown for the National Day of Prayer service, please join us as a chaperone, rather than pulling students away from their class. Our school, and individual classes, will be sitting together.

Half Day Service Project – Friday, May 4

Our final all-school service project will be at Expeditions Unlimited, a local Christian camp near Devil’s Lake. We will be helping prepare the camp for their spring and summer events. Students will be dismissed from CCS at 12:30 p.m.

Grades 3 & 4 to Rural Safety Days – Wednesday, May 16

Students in Mrs. Diers’s class will take part in the annual Rural Safety Days Camp held at the Sauk County Fairgrounds. They will learn about safety issues and prevention in various disciplines. Permission slips were sent home last week.

Grades 3 & 4 to Old World Wisconsin – Friday, May 18

Students in Mrs. Diers’s class will travel to Old World Wisconsin where they will learn about early settlers to Wisconsin. Permission slips were sent home last week. If you have not already done so, please turn in your payment of $4.00/student.

Grades 1 & 2 – Discovery World Milwaukee – Friday, May 25

Students in Mrs. Baerlocher’s class will travel to Milwaukee for some hands-on experiences at Discovery World Science & Technology Center. Permission slips are in today’s take home folder.

Used Library Book Sale

Thank you to all participated in the recent Used Library Book Sale. The PTO raised $84.48 through this sale which will be used for new library books and supplies.

End of School Year

Assuming there are no more snow days, there will be no extra days added, and no days removed from the current calendar. The last day of 4K is May 24. The last day of K-8 is June 1. The last day of high school is June 8.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Next week, May 7 through May 11, is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Let’s show our teachers how much we appreciate all they do for our students.
