Pastor Timothy Board is a Teacher’s Aide for high school classes at CCS. Born and raised in the greater Chicagoland area of northwest Indiana, he also studied in the Secondary Education program at Trinity Christian College. It was there on Chicago’s southwest side that he met his wife, Lori, and was married in January of 2002. After being saved by the grace of God through faith alone in Jesus Christ at a young age, the Lord called him into gospel ministry at that point. Since graduating in May 2005 from Milwaukee’s Berean Bible Institute with a diploma of Advanced Biblical Studies in Pastoral Ministry, he has served as pastor of several “Grace Bible” churches from Denver, Dayton, D.C., and now north of the Dells at Friendship Congregational Bible Church. He has also graduated from St. Louis Theological Seminary with a Bachelor’s Degree of Biblical Studies, has studied in the MDiv-Pastoral Ministry program at Liberty University, and is currently pursuing an MA in Ministry from Grace Christian University. Tim is an ordained minister in the Grace Gospel Fellowship of churches and serves on the national board of directors of Things To Come Mission.
Serving at CCS is a joy and honor because of his heart to intentionally transmit the exclusive truth claims of Biblical Christianity and the comprehensiveness of the Christian worldview to the next generation. His prayer is that CCS students would have a passion for the sovereign majesty of Almighty God as evidenced by an intelligent understanding of the times and therefore know what they believe, why they believe it, but also know how to defend the Christian faith against the skeptical questions of the day in the context of a secular culture that is increasingly hostile to the Word of God.
He enjoys walking/hiking with his wife and six children whom they teach at home, treasure hunting at used book sales (this is his “kryptonite”), and going on family adventure trips to Wisconsin’s many state parks, museums, and historic sites. Keeping pace with his kids, he really does wear smiley face “footy” pajamas in the wintertime while soaking up an epic Tolkien adventure on film with all his little hobbits.
