Community Christian School of Baraboo is deeply rooted in its commitment to Christian principles, encouraging students to develop a personal relationship with God and live out their faith in practical ways. Through regular chapel services, Bible studies, and a Christ-centered curriculum, students are provided with the tools and guidance necessary to grow spiritually and become responsible, compassionate members of society.
Christ-Centered Education
In all its levels, programs, and teaching, Community Christian School seeks to:
Teach all subjects as parts of an integrated whole with the Scriptures at the center (II Timothy 3:16-17);
Provide a clear model of the biblical Christian life through our staff and board (Matthew 22:37-40);
Encourage every student to begin and develop his relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 19:13-15).
Multi-grade Classrooms
Multi-grade classrooms provide a variety of benefits to students:
As new lessons are being taught to older students, lower grades benefit from the exposure of new concepts at an early age.
Older students benefit as knowledge of previously taught concepts are continuously reinforced and built upon, which fosters critical thinking skills.
As new ideas are being explored, both upper and lower grade students increase their exposure and can deepen their understanding, allowing them to progress at a faster pace.
Multi-grade classrooms also allow the teacher to create a learning plan tailored to fit each child’s individual needs and help them reach their highest potential. Beyond the academic benefits, multi-grade classrooms allow for more social growth as well. Older students learn to lead and be role models, while younger students mature as they interact with their older peers.
